My mom makes Christmas dresses every year for the girls. She does such a good job, I love them! She even manages to find a matching outfit for Jonas. She is fantastic...

The background is kind of dark, I think I'm going to get re-takes because you can't see how gorgeous the dresses are.

Nora and Clara both LOVE their thumbs. We are trying to get Clara
to quit. My friend Kami gave me the idea to sew socks to her shirts

so she can't suck her thumb. We only do it at night and she hates it.

Trey's grandma thinks we are so mean to let them suck their thumbs when they are babies and then tell them they can't anymore. He told her we let them poop their pants when they are babies too, but when they get older they have to stop. :) There is a time and season for everything, you know?!

What would I know about it?

My conversation with Jonas today:
Jonas- Mom, do you think anything would hurt more than a Cheetah biting you?
Meshan- I think it would hurt more to have a baby.
Jonas- Umm...no, I don't think you're right. (with an incredulous look on his face)
Meshan- Well, what do you think? What would hurt more?
Jonas- (after thinking for awhile) I'm not sure, but I just got a great idea. The next time you have a baby we can have a Cheetah biting your leg at the same time and then you can tell me what hurts the most.

Yeah...great idea. He really has no idea about childbirth. He thinks that if you press on a pregnant womans tummy hard enough the baby just pops right out the belly button. Easy cheesy, right?

Snow day!!

The kids and I had a great time playing in the snow today. We built a snowman famiy, ate snow slushes, had a snow ball fight, made snow angels and then went inside for hot chocolate and toast. We have to make the most of snow days because we don't get very many!!

Slow down Santa!

This is the Macaw that "Santa" brought Jonas. Trey and I did not originally buy this for Jonas because we thought it was too expensive for a fake parrot that we thought didn't do much. Well, we had Christmas a few days early because we didn't want to take tons of stuff up to the cabin. On our fake Christmas morning Jonas woke up and was a little dissapointed Santa didn't bring him the "talking parrot with the cracker". Grandpa Dewey found out and Jonas received a phone call from Santa saying that Jonas' gift had fallen off the sleigh because the reindeer were in such a hurry. He told Jonas to go outside and look on the sidewalk and there was the Macaw!! It actually turned out to be a really cool toy and do so much more than we thought. Jonas' favorite thing is to make him "toot". He named him toot head and he has a snake named fire head. We love Grandpa Dewey, he is so generous.

I enlarged this picture so everyone can see the kids better. Annie's kids are on the three on the left (Eli, Lucy, and baby Ezra). The baby on the ground with the pink bow is Jason's daughter Lydia. The blonde boy sitting by Jonas is Shawn's son Kaid and the blonde girl in front of him is theirs as well, her name is Lillyanne. The two twins on the right are Ethan and Kaleb and they are Bryce's kids. Aren't the PJ's adorable that Barb made?
