Spring Break

The extent of fun over Spring break:
Swimming in the bathtub and playing outside while Trey and I put up a fence all week.
What they enjoyed most though was going over to Grandma Livvy's house everyday for cartoons and junk food.  They LOVE it over there!  It is so convenient to live across the street from Trey's grandparents.  We are going to miss them terribly when we move!

Happy Birthday!

We love you!
The conversation my girls and I had yesterday:
Nora: Today Sunday?
Me: Yes, how did you know that? (she's only two)
Nora, shrugging her shoulders: I dunno.
Clara, matter of factly: Well, Jesus must have told you then. Did you know He could talk to you Nora?
Me: How does He talk to you?
Clara, looking at me in disbelief: Mom, He lives in your heart and then he talks to your heart and sometimes to your head too. Father and the Holy Ghost and God live there too. But sometimes they live in Heaven. I guess they just go both places. If they want to talk to you though they can, but you have to be quite and listen because it's not very loud.
Me: Have they ever talked to you?
Clara: Yeah, one time I was at Cindy's (she calls her grandma, Cindy, not grandma) and I was playing outside and I heard someone say, "Clara! Clara!" and I looked around and I was like, huh? And then I heard it again and I knew it was someone in my heart talking and I think it was the Holy Ghost though.
Me: How do you know it was someone in your heart talking?
Clara, speaking as though she's giving me a lesson on life: When you can't see someone, but you can hear them talking then it must be God or just one of the others from your heart talking.

Oh...I get it now! It must be crowded in our hearts if Jesus, Father, the Holy Ghost and God all live there together. I better give her a little lesson because um, she thinks there are four living there instead of three. I didn't want to break her little heart, but guess what? It was really Grandma Cindy calling her name from inside the house!

Crazy hair day!

Crazy hair day at school.  Picture 1- I took this right before Jonas went to school and his hair was still a little wet when Trey took him.
Picture 2- I took this one when Jonas got home from school.  The blue dried and it was so BRIGHT in the sun!  When we bought the spray Jonas kept begging me to buy permanent blue hair dye instead of temporary spray on.  Oh great...like father like son!

Prisoner

Poor Nora.  The other day she got locked in the bathroom for almost 2 hours!  Clara was in there with her and she locked the door then she left the bathroom and shut the door behind her, locking Nora in.  I tried to get her to unlock it from the inside, but she couldn't figure it out.  Then I tried to unlock it from the outside, but that wasn't working either.  Trey finally came home and saved the day.  He tried unscrewing the handle from the outside, but it wasn't working.  Finally he had to saw the handle off.  Nora was fine until Trey started using his powertools and it was really loud and making the door shake and Nora started freaking out.  Clara has to do 20 jobs to pay for the cost of a new door handle.

Crazy Eyes

Chubbers.

Every time I give Atticus a bath he gets "crazy eyes".  He loves to splash and is so happy in the bath.  Actually, he's a very happy and content baby now and I owe it all to "Babywise".  There may be some controversy on this book, but for everyone I know who has stuck to it and tried their methods for a happy baby who sleeps through the night absolutely love it.  I've read it with all my babies and they sleep through the night by three months old and during the day are all smiles.  Once they are Toddlers getting them to sleep at night is no problem.  They go down by 8:00 and if I let them they'll sleep until 8:00 the next morning.  Naps?  They love them and sometimes ask for them!  Try it.  You'll like it.
P.S.  I made a link under "Bloggers" to Kaitlin's blog if you are interested in their latest travel log!!

This is getting out of hand!

Reed and Kaitlin have now been on KSL news in Utah via Skype and then they were flown to Texas for another Skype interview for the TODAY show on Sunday, following which they were flown to New York City to be interviewed by Matt Lauer on the TODAY show Monday morning!!  After the show was over the producer brought out three Frosty's- one for Kaitlin, one for Reed and one for Matt Lauer and they sat and ate their Frostys and visited for awhile with Matt.  Clips from their video at the restaurant were shown on the O'Riley Factor and I've also seen them on our local news.  They said they keep getting phone calls from all over the country to have phone interviews for radio stations and Kaitlin gets text messages about every minute Reed said.  After their interview with the TODAY show they headed over to the Inside Edition studio and that will air on Friday.  On Tuesday morning they are being flown to California to be on the Ellen Degeneres show on Thursday.  You can see their past interviews on the internet or catch their upcoming ones on TV!

Two months old

Atticus turned two months old on February 16th.  What a cutie (if I do say so myself).

Sweet Clara

When it was time for dinner Trey came to the table with his arms inside his jacket and told Clara that they had been cut off and he asked her if she would help him eat.  She immediately got up and started feeding him.  She told him that she would always take care of him and help him until she died.    This lasted about half way through dinner until she got bored and wanted to eat her own meal.  She is such a tender hearted little girl.  I am so thankful for how she always wants to help out around the house and especially with  Atticus.
